On September 29th, The Salvation Army celebrated Alegria’s 10th Anniversary with a gala event sponsored by City National Bank and Jerry Hill. The evening included complete hors d’oeuvres, live music by Jane Getz, and a silent art auction including work by Dan Callis, Lorenzo Hurtado, and Melanie Newcombe. A brief presentation included presentations by Paul Hebblethwaite, Shardae Collins, and Major Mike Dickinson.

Opened in 2001, Alegria has provided emergency housing, residential care, permanent supportive housing, and child development services to homeless families with special needs. With an 81% success rate in permanent housing placement, Alegria continues to lead the nation in progressive and effective program delivery that combines medical, mental health, and case management services.
