What is an
Online Red Kettle?

You’ve seen our red kettles out in front of the stores, right? Well, this is your own personal kettle – a way for you to help millions in need by raising donations through email and social networking.

The Salvation Army Red Kettles have been an American tradition since 1891, helping raise financial support for critical Salvation Army programs and services year round.  This campaign allows you to host your own Red Kettle – online.  You become a vital part of our Christmas efforts when you help those in need by hosting an Online Red Kettle and filling it with donations from family, friends and colleagues.  Visit http://www.onlineredkettle.org for more information or to set up your kettle today!

Please join us in welcoming Amber Rizo and Miriam Hernandez to our team at Alegria.  Amber has accepted the position of Housing Case Manager at Alegria; and we couldn’t be more excited about her joining the team.  Miriam will be a core member of our child development center, utilizing her knowledge of child development and programming to help our after-school and preschool thrive!

Sponsored by Pacific Crossroads Church and Pepperdine University, Alegria will host a Harvest Festival for Alegria transitional and permanent housing residents.   There will be lots to do for our residents, including a carnival for the kids, food for all, and a college information and preparation booth.  We will also be offering a “prayer and share” for those that would like to participate.  This event is closed to the public.
